We are hosting a FREE community puzzle swap at Gangnam Food Hall next to Gangmam Market on December 10th. You are welcome to come and go any time between 7-9pm. We will have a puzzle swap where you can drop off a puzzle, take a puzzle. If there are extra puzzles remaining after the swap, feel free to take more.

We will also have a voluntary Center for Enriched Living (CEL) puzzle drive where you can donate a NEW puzzle that is large piece size and 100-200 pieces to the non-profit organization (gift-wrapping is optional).

There is also free 1.5-hour garage parking with a validated ticket.

All are welcome. We hope to see you there!

We are hosting a solo speed puzzle competition in Chicago for our first puzzle event in 2026! Individuals will compete in a 500-piece puzzle race with a 2-hour time limit. We will have an afternoon of fun, and free snacks and beverages will be provided! There will be an opportunity to win door prizes. We will have a puzzle swap table for those who want to exchange puzzles.

If you would rather watch the competition instead of competing, we have spectator tickets for sale that will also include the opportunity to participate in the puzzle swap and get free snacks and beverages.

Once a month, the Chicago Puzzle Club puzzles with members of the Center for Enriched Living in Riverwoods, IL, a nonprofit organization that provides valuable programs and services for teens, adults, and seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Eric from the Chicago Puzzle Club assisted SPEEDPUZZLING.COM in running their Chicago division of the Super Saturday 2025 Mini Tourney #3! This is a scaled-down version of their State Championships, now with 4 separate contests (Solo, Pairs-Relay, Pairs, and then Team)! Compete against puzzlers in 19 states! New to this event was the Pairs-Relay Contest! This contest consisted of two people, completing two separate 200-210 piece puzzles at the same time, but switching every five minutes until both puzzles are completed. You can find more information at the Super Saturday website.

A puzzle swap table was also available throughout the event.

Update: Due to scheduling and demand concerns, the planned Speed Puzzling & Hockey event on December 6, 2025 will be canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and all current ticket holders will be refunded. The Chicago Puzzle Club and the Chicago Wolves are still excited to collaborate and we hope to announce a restructured event soon.

We hosted our first official USAJPA Sanctioned Solo and Pairs speed puzzle competition in Chicago! USAJPA is a non-profit organization that creates a nationwide community for jigsaw puzzlers and establishes a framework for competitive jigsaw puzzling events. Solo competition times will count towards your JPAR ranking if you are a USAJPA member. Click here to learn more.

The Solo division competed to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 2-hour time limit. The Pairs division had teams of 2 people compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 1.5-hour time limit. The top 3 winners in each division won prizes. The 1st place winners also won a guaranteed reserved spot into the 2026 USA Jigsaw Nationals competition in Atlanta, GA on March 27 – 29, 2026 (fee may apply).

We hosted a team puzzle competition in Chicago! Teams of up to 4 people competed in a 500-piece puzzle race with a 1.5-hour time limit. We had an afternoon of fun, opportunity to compete with other puzzlers, and complimentary light refreshments! There was a chance to win door prizes, and we had a puzzle swap table for those who wanted to exchange puzzles.

In September 2025, we hosted a casual puzzle meetup in Chicago (FREE TO ATTEND!). This was an opportunity to puzzle casually, do a puzzle swap, and/or meet with other puzzlers! For the puzzle swap table, attendees were able to take a puzzle in exchange for each puzzle that they dropped off. If there were leftover puzzles, they were able to take as many as they wanted home.

This meetup was open to everyone, walk-ins included.

We hosted our first USA JPA Pre-Approved Individual and Pairs speed puzzle competition in Chicago! USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association (USA JPA) is a non-profit organization that creates a nationwide community for jigsaw puzzlers and establishes a framework for competitive jigsaw puzzling events.

The Individual speed puzzle competition division consisted of competing to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 2-hour time limit. The Pairs speed puzzle competition division had teams of 2 people compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 1.5-hour time limit. Prizes were awarded to the top 3 winners in each division.

We hosted our 2nd annual “Puzzle with Pride” speed puzzle competition in Chicago! Teams of up to 4 people competed in a 1,000-piece rainbow-themed puzzle race with a 2.5-hour time limit. We had an afternoon of fun, opportunity to compete with other puzzlers, and free snacks and beverages! Some puzzlers came dressed in a festive or colorful attire. A portion of the ticket sales was donated to Trans Lifeline, a peer support and crisis hotline 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering phone support to transgender people.

We hosted our first solo speed puzzle competition in Chicago! Individuals competed in a 500-piece puzzle race with a 2-hour time limit. We had an afternoon of fun, a fun competition with puzzlers, and complimentary light refreshments! There was a free raffle giveaway also, and puzzlers who came dressed in festive holiday clothes received an extra free raffle ticket. We had a puzzle swap table for those who want to exchange puzzles.

For the first time, we allowed a limited number of spectators for this event where they got to cheer on a competitor, participate in the puzzle swap, and got complimentary light refreshments.

We hosted our first speed puzzle workshop and mini 100-piece speed puzzle competition in Chicago! In this 2-hour event, we did a presentation on information about speed puzzling, tips, strategies, and more. Then, individuals practiced speed puzzling by doing a 100-piece puzzle race for fun with a 30-minute time limit. For the remaining time, puzzlers got to practice speed puzzling or casually do puzzles. We also had a puzzle swap table for those who wanted to exchange puzzles.
