Speed Puzzle Competition

April 18, 2026

We will be hosting a teams speed puzzle competition in Chicago! Teams of up to 4 people will compete in a Novice 500-piece puzzle race with a 1.5-hour time limit and Challenge 1,000-piece puzzle race with a 2.5-hour time limit. It will be an afternoon of fun, opportunity to compete with other puzzlers, and free snacks and beverages will be provided! Prizes will be awarded to the top three winning teams in each division. There will be an opportunity to win door prizes as well. We will have a puzzle swap table for those who want to exchange puzzles.

If you would rather watch the competition instead of competing, we have spectator tickets for sale that will also include the opportunity to participate in the puzzle swap and get free snacks and beverages.

Speed Puzzle Competition

We are hosting our 2nd official USAJPA Sanctioned Solo and Pairs speed puzzle competition in Chicago! USAJPA is a non-profit organization that creates a nationwide community for jigsaw puzzlers and establishes a framework for competitive jigsaw puzzling events. Solo competition times will count towards your JPAR if you are a USAJPA member. Click here to learn more.

The Solo division will compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 2-hour time limit. The Pairs division will have teams of 2 people compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 1.5-hour time limit. The top 3 winners in each division will win trophy, gift card, and puzzle. The 1st place winners will also win a guaranteed reserved spot into the 2027 USA Jigsaw Nationals competition (fee may apply). If you would like to watch the competition, you can purchase a spectator ticket (includes puzzle swap participation and free snacks).

Once a month, the Chicago Puzzle Club puzzles with members of the Center for Enriched Living in Riverwoods, IL, a nonprofit organization that provides valuable programs and services for teens, adults, and seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
